This book provides stories and testimonials of experiences discovered from the Word of God in my personal life. It brings lives of biblical characters into real-time applications and the challenges they encountered. Practical solutions are provided to the reader and appear throughout the book with reflection on both failures and triumphs woven into the many categories it covers. Experiencing the Lord is as common today as it was in biblical times. Our culture is quite different but principles and applications of God’s Word still apply today.
Don’t judge a book by its cover has been a rule taught to many generations. Its origin is ancient but the same applies in the modem world in which we live. Looking at the cover of a Bible may look ancient but its contents and principles will amaze you. Stages of Life
This book describes the different stages accompanied by seasons with numerous variations of difficulty that make up our entire life as we know it on earth. Our physical existence involves many facets that together encompass life as a whole.
Looking at these areas more closely develops a better understanding of how things are realistically and relates a way of life we each experience in common. It also reveals the possibilities God has made available for our quality of life by following His directions and applying His biblical principles.

Coming Before the Lord

The Old and New Testaments reveal much about the character of God. Examples of both good and evil are revealed for our learning. The results of both good and evil are explained in detail, and we can see the results of each choice. As we read through the Bible, we see evidence of God’s plan for mankind and opportunities to become more acquainted with Him. Working together with the Holy Spirit provides guidance and understanding that are intended to strengthen and help us. This wisdom has practical applications that provide a better way to handle life. He has revealed ways we can use to personalize a relationship with Him that can grow over time.
Entering His Presence is possible today because of what Christ accomplished by his death, burial, and resurrection. The finished work of Christ has opened a gateway to the throne of God that was not available to each believer before. We become like the priests of old and have access to the Father.
Old Testament rituals have been replaced with New Testament opportunities that seek Him and receive help and understanding. The sending of the Holy Spirit has provided us with the Helper that resides inside of every believer. We can have a personal relationship with our Creator. Entering His Presence is possible today because Christ broke down the barrier that once stood between God and man.

Obedience: The One Thing God Wants Most
This book provides scriptural references to many situations we commonly experience. God’s Word is His knowledge in print that when applied creates wisdom for living. His Word becomes alive to provide the proper guidance we need to overcome circumstances as we function through life. It is not a common reflex to be led by the Word of God. We must choose to follow after Him by acting in faith rather than be directed by our feelings only. Choosing to go in a direction that is unnatural can be frightening. Once you begin to practice obedience, it gradually becomes easier. As we move in faith and proceed under His guidance we learn that our circumstances will begin to change as well as our character and trust in Him. Obedience is a most critical area that humans shy away from because we have the wrong idea of its purpose. About the Author – www.DougPoole.net Doug Poole spent his life growing up on a farm in Oklahoma and then moved to Wichita, Kansas at age twelve. Graduating from Wichita High School South, he then went to college at the University of Oklahoma. The Marine Corps, Okinawa, and Vietnam occupied his time until getting married in 1971. His 42-years of marriage caused him to turn from his single thinking and become involved with a family and the Lord. His life on the farm growing up and his godly grandparents proved to be foundational in his development for what was coming in the future. Now remarried, a season of remembrance and biblical principles have finally persuaded him to seek a new adventure. And, that new adventure has been sharing with others what God has taught him and referencing biblical principles learned in the writing of several books.
